Anne Cecilie is playing the Female Main Character – Tante Sofie – in Cardamom Town (Kardemomme by) this summer. The story is set in the popular Cardamom Town in Kristiansand Dyrepark.
The story is from the book
When the Robbers Came to Cardamom Town (Folk og røvere i Kardemomme by) by Thorbjørn Egner.
It is considered as one of the most important Norwegian children’s books, and the books have been sold all over the world.
The book includes many songs which are connected to the story. The story is well adapted for playing as a theatre act with musical numbers.
The different plays in Cardamom Town are directed by Robin A. Eriksen.
Kristiansand Dyrepark
is the number one tourist attraction in Norway, attracting close to 1 million visitors each year. It consists of more than 150 different animal species, entertainment, shows, amusement park as well as a separate water park called Badelandet.
The entertainment in the park is highly professional with a full-on professional cast, with different shows at daytime and in the evening.
It is also the home of the stories of Thorbjørn Egner and there has been built a complete “storybook” for his stories of Cardamom Town (a town where you can actually spend the night) and Huckybucky forest (Hakkebakkeskogen). It is also the home of Kaptein Sabeltann (Capt. Sabertooth), a much-loved pirate in Norway.

Anne Cecilie is acting in Karpe Diems new Film Project – Montebello – directed by Thea Hvistendahl (Norwegian only) –> NFI – Montebello
Karpe Diem is Norway’s most famous band, a rap group bringing up cultural and political Norwegian subjects like no others.
Because of there popularity, there is now being made a feature film out of some of their music videos with extended acting scenes to bind it all together.
A new genre maybe? Like their songs and their music videos, they start in the filmmaking doing something new and controversial as well.
Here are some of the directors’ visually breathtaking work: Thea Hvistendahl
Director of Photography (The Snowman, Downsizing, Nobel): Pål Ulvik Rokseth
